uh, this eye looks pretty scary! My first idea was, it must be a crocodile, but then do crocodiles have slotted pupils?

I was going to say alligator, but I say that mostly because of the scales on the skin of this animal. I haven't ever thought about the slotted pupil situation... what I want to know is how did you get close enough to this animal to get such a great shot? I don't think I would have wanted to get that close! So what is it?

That is a really cool idea, why not invent our own animals. A catidile would be possible too, wouldn't it? How about a catsnake?
